Pessistant cough that won't go away, what is it?
About a month ago I had bronchitis, I went to the doctor, went on antibiotics for 5 days, thereafter I developed laryngitis, went to the doctor again & was back on antibiotics for another 5 days, i was ok for a few days but the cough is back & I'm still coughing phlem, could it be TB, I'm not coughing up blood but my chest feels tight sometimes, I;ve had asthma since I was a child but I haven't had an attack in over 10-15 years, I'm not on any meds for asthma but I did use the nebulizer for a few days with atrovert.
Please can you tell me what could the cause of my cough be & what medicaltion I could take to make it subside.
Thanks,
SR

Dear SR
Could be that it is just a post-bronchitis inflammation. Ask your doctor to check on the phlegm - send it to the lab if needed and see that you are put on anti-inflammatory medication for your chest. An Asthma pump would also help.
