POST-OP BLISS/FLU

Tomorrow (Fri 08/07) it will be 10 months and 1 week since I had my kidney op. It has been nothing but heaven! If I have had 3 kidney infections since then it's been a lot. My gp seems to think it was far more successful than they expected (although my urologist keeps saying he knew it would be like this - I could only get better by having the op!) and of course he was right! Everyone just hopes it just stays that way. Instead I have been plagued this winter with my sinus/bronchitis/throat trouble, but that is a far better set of problems to have to deal with! (well as far as I'm concerned anyway). I was in bed the whole week of 21/06 and never thought it was possible to cough up so much phlegm! I was coughing up this awful thick green mucous solidly for 7 days! I had 10 days of Avelon, 10 days of Clarityne DoD and have got through 2 bottles of Mucospect. My GP seems to have been sick as well. his wife says he has already been on 2 doses of antibiotics. This year has been a disaster as far as flu related stuff goes! I think I am finally starting to get better.

Anxious, I have to agree with you that having the flu is the better one of the two. Everyone has been sick this winter, so you’re not the exception to the rule. Hope your health stays good from here onwards. Good luck.
