PPH [Primarty Pulmonary Hypertension]
I am a 34 yr old female who has been diagnosed with PPh and would like to know if there has been any further advanced research done on a cure or if there are patients being treated at the moment with thi sproblem and how can we cope better.

Please send me a reply. I await replies from doctors or patients with this problem.

Sharon, it’s a bit difficult to tell you whether any further research has been done as I don’t know what you know already. True PPH implies that the cause is unknown and it’s very difficult to treat. Some people respond to vasodilators, but it might drastically worsen the situation. People are often put on Warfarin as small blood clots that are difficult to detect may be the underlying cause. Heart and lung transplants are a theoretical option, but it’s not readily available in SA yet. Good luck and let me know if you have more questions (just post them as a new question or I won’t get them).
