prevention of scaring on the face due to fall

I fell off a quad bike. I hit my nose and cheek. only my nose bled but my cheek and chin are bruised. At the moment my nose is red and with a bit of pus. I am applying bactroban. How can I avoid scaring and what ointments will help ?

Ash, if it is just bruised, it should clear up without any scars. You can try using something like Bio-oil™, but I doubt that it is necessary. Good luck.
