I have ridges/lines on my nails just on my one hand so the nailbed is not smooth. What causes this? I heard it could be a lack of some vitamin or mineral

If it is just on the one hand, it may have been due to injury of the nail bed ( examples are like when you pushed back the cuticles too hard, or slammed your fingers in a door etc)
