i have developed shingles. my doctor reckons oral contraception is the culprit

Oral contraception can't give shingles - it is caused by a virus ( chickenpox type virus) and you get it when your immunity is low - it is common in people with HIV, cancer, on immunosuppression drugs after an organ transplant or just when you are very run down after a flu or stressful period.
