Stills Disease (Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis)
Hi Doc

I see u are very busy - one quick question:

Can one suffer from a recurrence of the above disease after 25 years? I am 40 now, and had it from the age of 6 to about 15. Could it return and affect other joints, as I had it in my wrists, knees and hips as a child, but now suffer from very painful hands and fingers every morning, sometimes being woken up with the pain, in the early hours. The knees, shoulders and hips are still stiff and have been for many years, but are not as painful as the hands.

Hoping to hear from u soon

Karen, it may be rheumatoid arthritis, just not juvenile. It may of course be due to another form of arthritis. He best would be to see your doctor and find out what it is. Good luck.
