I am worried about my boy friend. This isn't the first time something like this has happened. He says that it feels as if he can't breath and then he gets very light headed and the room starts to spin. He also breaks out in a cold sweat and his muscles start to twitch. If we are inside his house he complains that the room we are in is too small and that he has to get out. He suffers from High blood pressure and he is a smoker. He has also suffered from a panic attaches before, but they are different to what happens now. I am worried about him. Would you know what this could be?
Meagain, it sounds like it might be a different type of panic attack, but it might also be due to something else like low blood pressure, thyroid problems, adrenal gland problems, low blood glucose, heart problems, middle ear problems, etc. The best would be for him to first see his doctor and make sure that there is no underlying problem. Good luck.
