SWOLEN ANKLES
Doctor, lately my ankles swell in the afternoons and the right one is a bit painfull. I have an overactive bladder and cannot take duretics as it affects my work in running to the loo all the time. What causes the swelling and what can I use without a presciprion please. Thank you
Hallo Mary
You need to let a doctor have a look as it can be due to heart failure or kidney disease, or just local inflammation. The cause needs to be determined to treat it correctly
