Tender tummy?
Hi CD

The area just below my navel (about 2-3cm) is harder than the surrounding area and is really sensitive to touch.

Due to a back injury, I lie on an inversion bed each morning and night. And while hanging upside down, the discomfort of this navel area is far higher in the morning than any other time of the day.

I'm a regular lass (i.e. not constipated). I have a relatively healthy diet (except for the odd chocolate or twenty) and exercise regularly.
I'm 36, female, and enjoy good health.

Can you shed any light on what this "condition" could be?

Cheers
BB (in Oz)

Pst... I trust you're well rested after the "silly season" break.

BB, it sounds like you might have hurt yourself in the gym (or on your up side down bed). :-) It might be inflammation or a small hernia (especially if you had surgery in that area. You can try taking an anti-inflammatory fro a couple of days, but if it doesn’t clear up, you will have to see your doctor as I unfortunately can’t examine you from this side of the screen. Good luck.
