Tonsils - again
Hi doc , trust you are well , I am 26 years old and have my tonsils , I have never suffered from tonsillitis, but had my first infection about 3 weeks ago , my GP gave me and injection as well as strong antibiotics , I was fine after about 3 days (I was as sick as a dog) , now after 3 weeks I woke up and could hardly swallow ,I had a look down my throat and could see yellowish spots on my tonsils (both sides) is so sore and my neck is so stiff , I bought some otc homeopathic tabs and it does feel a bit better , I do not know what to do , my husband had his tonsils removed 2 years ago , and he was almost dead! , please give your opinion

Sunet, one bout of tonsillitis doesn’t warrant having them removed. If you get it more than 3 times a year, the best would e to have them removed. If it still hasn’t cleared up by the time you receive this reply, the best would be to take another course of antibiotics. Good luck.
