Diagnosed with Hernia in April 2004. Medication (Lanzor) did not help. Saw gastreonologist in March 2005, lot of hearburn monitored, no other stomach infections. Recommend operation which was done on 19 April 2005. Since 20 July 2005 extreme burning/flaming pain in stomach (almost feels like contractions), extreme shoulder back pain, wake up at night of burning pain on stomach. Does not matter wheather eating or not it stays extremely painfull. Back pain is better since taking Nurofen, but cannot take that any longer as already 3 days. Pharmisist gave Lanzor, 2nd day on Lanzor, no improvement. Can this be a stomach ulcer? Should I see surgeon again. Have had some work stress in past month, can this contribute to sympthoms.

Rosie, my first guess would still be an ulcer and the best would be to see your surgeon ASAP and to stop taking the NurofenĀ®. Good luck.
