very little bowel movement
dear doc,
i rarely have free bowel movement. in a week or two, i may do it just once or twice. i know it's not healthy, but it just doesnt come when i want it to. it actually comes at its own time, so i have to wait. pls help me cos i'm really concerned as to the consequences.thank u very much.

first you need to ensure that you take in enough fibre ( like hi fibre bran) and water each day.
You can then use something like Fybogel or duphalac to soften the stool and if it still does not come at least once in two days, use a glycerin suppositry to stimulate the bowel every 2 days.
Using laxatives will just make the bowel lazy and is not good long term.
