Water retention
My mother in law is facing a real problem. She is refusing to go to hospital and the doctor out of fear. She went to a pharmacist because her ancles is swolen and he informed her she is holding back water. Now what she does is drinking the water pills but on an on and off basis with dehidrate blackcurrent. This she drinks as if it is coldrink. She only eats oranges with salt and tomatoes. That is all she eats. Saying that anything else is making her sick. Now she has a watery stomac for the last 2 weeks and lost about 10 kilograms in this period. She falls because her balance is off. What can she do. Is the waterpills incorperated with the dehidrate not working against each other and what can she eat in conjunction with the pills to set her body right because she also suffers from low bloodpressure and this will cause serious damage if she continues this road. Please help

Hi Joy
She urgently needs some blood tests as her salts seem to be totally unbalanced at the moment. If she continues like this she may get a heart attack or even a stroke or fit. Don't you have a GP that she trusts? Or even a clinic sister?
