What could be wrong with me?
I went to a clinical psychologist for depression. she told me that i should go and have a brain scan after i revealed that i often see spaks of light, hear things and have periods of time when i have been active but i dont remember them. ie walking somewhere, getting somewhere else and realizing that an hour has past and i dont remember it at all. she seemed pretty worried but didnt explain further. what could she be worried about, can you tell me what they might be looking for?
Dear Pixie
Rather go and see a neurologist first - you could be getting a kind of epilepsy called temporal lobe epilepsy that is treatable with medication. They will do an EEG test and if needed a brain scan but we only ask for brain scans if we really think you have a tumour or abnormal vein or something in the brain - it is quite expensive.
