white rash on penis - candida?
I'm posting this question on behalf of my husband. His penis is really sore, red and itchy with a white "rash". To me it actually looks like candida. I know it is possible for a man to get "infected" with candida from his wife, but I don't have it and didn't have it for quite some time. He was on a course of antibiotics for a sinusitus infection. Could that be the cause? Or is ot not candida? Can men get it from antibiotics as well? If it is not candida what is it then?

Please also inform us of how to treat the symptoms.

Thank You.

Christina, it sounds like you made the correct diagnosis and your assumption that it is due to the antibiotics may also be correct. He can apply an antifungal cream like Normospor® twice a day for a week, but if it doesn’t clear up or it becomes worse, the best would be to see your doctor. Good luck.
