Worrying Swelling
Hi Doc
I have a swollen occipital lymph gland/node. Only on the left hand side. What could this mean? I have had a pain/numb feeling at the back of my head now for over 4 weeks. Doc is now treating it as something to do with neck ie spasm or pinched nerve. What do you think? I'm thinking I need to see a physician...

Munchkin, the most common cause would be an scalp infection (isn’t there a pimple on your scalp somewhere?) or maybe a viral infection like the cold. I doubt that you need to worry, but the next step would be to have a full blood count done. Good luck.
