Yasmin
Hi,

My GP recommended yasmin for me to take and he said there will be no need for a back-up contraceptives but i'm worried that i might get pregnant, i never used any pills before.

Can Anyone who is on the pill ( Yasmin) tell me if it really effective or do i need to use something else on top to be extra safe? what can i use except a condom? and is it okay to use vitamins while you are on the pill?

Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Sweety P
As long as you take your pill regularly, you are fairly safe after one month's use. If you get diarrhoea or vomiting, use antibiotics or high doses of vit C, otherwise your pill may not work 100%. You can also use a condom with it if you want to.
