Hi Cybershrink
How have you been? Hope everything is going well with you and that you find yourself chirpy and bouncy.

I feel so sad today, my dad had cancer *prostaat kanker* about 5 years ago and it was a tremendious thing having to see my dad go through that - unfortunately now after 5 years its seems that something is not right again, his check up shows that his counts from some test is creeping up again which is not a good sign. I am so worried and yes the thought of my dad having to go through all of it again is just so sad.

His next follow up is only in September but the worrying is driving me insaine, my mom said my dad is worried and that can never be a good sign........

Things have been going so good and now I feel so sad..... I dont know how not to think about it the whole day.... I still do my job and all but I dont have energy to do anything else except read and sleep.....

Any ideas?

Hello Kasandra,
Well, geting by. I still chrip and bounce as before, but less often, and chriping more softly, and bouncing less high.
I hope things work out well again for your dad. This time, by monitoring the tests, they've probably caught any new developments there earlier, and maybe the treatment, with new advances made in the last 5 years, may be better. If they're leaving his next follow-up to September, then they can't be expecting anything too drastic to happen. Try to think positively, maybe do some web research on new treatments for Prostate CA, and get a more intellectual and less emotional view on events, too
