Adult children
My son is 22 and the girlfriend is 20. They slept together. Her father suspected and kind of force it out of her. When not denying, he chased her away and forbid her to come into his house ever again. My son told us everything because the father said he is going to sue him for raping his daughter. But the both decided to have sex. Nobody was forced. The girl is now living with us in our house and my son in the flat outside. We do not approve sex, but decided that we will drive them away from us if we act as the father. The fact that the son was honest and told us everything was just an eye opened that he trust us. How should we handle it? By the way, her father himself has an afair with somebody else and now he calls his daugter a prostitute

If she copnsented, it was not rape, and the father is nuts if he thinks he has any right to sue anyone for having sex with his willing daughter. As you have sen, the father has achieved nothing useful and has driven his daughter away from him. At least your boy was honest with you. And as you see, the father is a hypocrite, having an affair himself, while denouncing his daughter.
Leigh's response sounds reasonable, as does Purple's.
