I had a coupla drinks after months last week, I got home and started having panick attacks and my tachycardia was like beat my senseless.

Can it have a negative effect?
Yes. But this is more complex than maybe you think. As you may well have an anxiety disorder, you need to see a good local shrink to have it properly treated, with medication, probably an antidepressant, and CBT counselling, ideally. Becausde alcohol seems at first to be calming, too many people with basic anxiety disorders, start self-medicatin gon alcohol, and can become alcoholics. Also, some people have, for complex reasons, intolerance to alcohol and can have therefor odd reactions to it. And of course, when alcohol levels having surged up while you were drinking, drop down again, one can also have some uncomfortable symptoms
