Alcohol induced memory loss
Hi
I had too much to drink and can't remember what happened for a few hours. Will hypnosis / hypnotherapy help me to remember what happened that night?
Thanks

Absolutely not ! Where do people get the idea that hypnosis / hypnotherapy, almost universally a quack intervention, can work miracles ? IF you drank so much that you experienced alcohol induced memory loss, then those memories WERE NOT RECORDED. Neither hypnosis nor any other miracle can play back unrecorded memories, any more than a hypnotist could play you music of a blank CD with nothing recorded on it.
What they could do, which is how it can be a highly damaging procedure, is, by using suggestion when you are in that deeply sufggestible state, to create false memories of whatever they or you fancy or fantasize, with nothing whatsoever to do with whatver did or did not happen last night, and in a manner that would lead you to believe these fake "memories".
You blew last night, Unless a reliable witness there at the time can tell you what happened, it's lost. Get over it --- and avoid getting that drunk again. And make sure your husband wakes up about how to properly protect you under such circumstances.
If something was slipped into your drink ( like Rohypnol ) then it would be all the more impossible to regain memory of what happened then. But if it was last night, see a path lab for a blood test, as some relevant substances could still be measurable, but don't delay.
