As Shaun says, don't be scared of medication. And it won't make you emotionless. Indeed, without medication, sometimes our own feelings can get rather overwhelming, and then for a time shut off, like a fuse. Best of all, ask your GP to refer you to a good local psychiatrist, for a thorough assessment, and a chance to discuss treatment options, and to get all your questions answered in detail.
