At the office
I need help. At our office in the mornings everyone just talks about money. One of my colleagues turn everything we say in the direction of money - how much her husband fly overseas, the new car, the expensive house etc.
I am not jealous about this, just sick and tired of people that can only talk about money and what they have.
What should I do? I already feel like the one in the corner since I ignore everybody and carry on with my own work.

Dear nota,
What a sad person this colleague of yours, really is ! Clearly, she has such a very low opinion of herself, that she thinks that only her husband's money makes her important or likeable at all ( and, also, she's so wrong about that ! ). Indeed, if he's all that rich, one wonders why she's at work at all ? And surely the others at work are sick of her boring chatter, too, but maybe they've learned to politely ignore her without this being noticeable.
Remember the rule, that people who keep on talking about the stuff they have, are people who are scared of the fact that they actually have nothing that's worth anything.
