Chat: Drivers & car types (13354)
I often drive a 4X4. I do NOT think that I am "High, Proud and Mighty". Good grief, it would take more than a car to do that! To generalise like that is utter crap. There are many bad drivers on our roads and highways (in all provinces) - drivers of fancy cars, old cars, taxis, trucks and buses. There are also considerate drivers out there of all types of vehicles.

Yes, enormous numbers of truly bad drivers in all sorts of vehicles. Taxis without question the worst. But perform the test differently, without allegiance to one or other type of vehicle. Keep a note, for a week, of every time you see someone driving selfishly or dangerously --- cutting in, hooting or giving rude hand-signals to someone actually driving at the correct speed limit, driving through red lights, whatever. People who use the lanes in a parking garage as a speedway, and so on. And what sort of vehicle is being driven by the lousy driver ? Is it random ? or are their patterns.
And another query --- maybe I didn't notice the legislation going through, but when did they start taxing people every time they use their flashers to indicate an intention to change lanes or turn ? It must be rather a high tax, as I notice in recent years, such signalling is used less and less. Usually no signal, as the driver plays "Guess what I'm going to do next ?", sometimes one single solitary triumphant flas AFTER the manoevre. to say "I HAVE changed lanes !"
