I am back at work after maternity leave and my child is being looked after by my mother in law. I am not happy with this arrangement but dont have a choice.
When I get home in the evenings, my daughter is not even overly excited to see me. I feel as though she is forgetting who her mom is. SHould I be worried?

Dear mlo,
Let's see what our other regular moms think. I don't think you need to be worried. By the time you get home in the evenings, your daughter is probably already tired and ready to slep, and not really ready to engage with you, much though you'd like it --- try rather to spend a chunk of quality time with her over the weekends. She won't forget you.
