Constantly Randy or crazy
I had a vaginal hysterectomy & a posterior repair Oct’04. Since then I feel constantly aroused (randy)
The gynae said it is all in the mind and that I should see a shrink. My GP took some blood test for my hormone levels and found that although I am still with in the acceptable level, I am at the lower half of the scale. I would like to know if these urges could be due to nerve damage or maybe the hormone levels.
I am 44yrs old. And not sexually active

Well, if what you describe were a consistent and recognized side-effect, the treatment might be a good deal more popular ! All sexual arousal is, ultimately, in the head, so it's logical to see a shrink to assess why this is getting a bit out of hand. Hormones around the usual doses, and except in rare cases where they are really far out of whack, don't usually affect our libido. nerve damage might make it harder for you to feel aroused, but wouldn't be likely to make you more easily aroused. It could be coincidental, related either to some aspect of menopause, or to a raction to feeling free of the risk of pregnancy, as others suggest
