CS
Dear CS
I’m frightened. I’m scared. I can’t breath. It is difficult to watch someone suffering so much. The pain medication is never enough, despite the doctor’s best efforts. His condition is deteriorating. Day by day something else is happening to him. Where is it going to end? How much more does he have to suffer? I know there is nothing that can be done. It is too late. I'm so sad. Why do all the people who mean so much to others and have so much to offer have to die and I'm still alive?

Hello El-Jo,
Good to hear from you again, but so sorry to hear that the proble still endures. I am surprised that the docs caring for your husband don't yet seem to have managed to control his pain, when this is usually not so very difficult. It's remarkable how long you have both had to endure this situation. Of course it is very sad indeed that he has suffered for so long ; and it will be a relief when his suffering stops. But that has nothing to do wih the need for you to live, to recover from this unhappy period in your life, and to move on and find the better parts of life than can lie ahead of you.
