I'm not sure why this particular combination was selected for you, and that's something you need to ask your prescribing psychiatrist. Cymbalata is a new, flavour-of-the-month antidepessant, and I'd have though it was sufficient to treat a depression ; Fluanxol is a much older medication, chemical name flupenthixol, which has milder antidepresant and tranqullizing properties. Maybe it was though that the latter would be more helpful in the early stages to promote better sleep. Either way, the combination ought to be effective in lifting your depression. Stick to the medication as prescribed, and expect noticeable improvement ( probably noticed first by those around you ) in the first 4 weeks.
