down the drain
Hi, i think i have heavy depression and i dont know what to do, since therapy is only for the rich and famous where do i go. Ive been for therapy before but usually after 5 sesions my medical aid starts going down the drain. My wife and i have been married for 12 years now, with one child. A few years ago she had an affair with a man. And a year ago with a woman, she fell deep inlove with this women, after i found out she left the woman straight away. And we decided to work things out. But i cant seem to get over it, im battling with to much issues and fall into deep depression. Its really starting to affect my daily life, i dont have any interest in anything anymore. Life just feels so worthless lately. Nothing makes sence to me, i meen the only thing that i loved and trusted betrayed me in the worst way. I know i need help desperately but dont know where to go. I have been on anti-deprecents before but they dont help me much, only makes me feel dead. I really think i need proffesional help, im going crazy and lifes getting to much for me

Dear Broken, If you need therapy, get it. If you live near a medical school, their depts of Psychiatry and Psychology should be able to provide cost-effective treatment ; and check out your local bigest state / provincial hospital, too. Explore your local / nearest branch of FAMSA, who may be able to advise on cost-effective counselling near you. As Kernel says, your church may also be able to help. Be aggressive in seeking out resources you can use, because you deserve proper treatment, and ought to be able to feel a great deal better than this.
Antidepressants ( and the generic versions are equally effective but cheaper ) are excellent for treating Depression as such, but not for dealing with issues like betrayal, which need counselling.
