Dringende hulp benodig
Ek is 30jr oud. My hart is alewig seer en my sensitiwiteit vir alles raak 'n groot probleem. Help my asseblief, ek wil nie so aangaan nie. My man verdien dit nie.

Hi Lisa,
I can imagine how unpleasant and frustrating this all has been for you. Depression, of course, apart from being a really miserable experience in itself, can also complicate other illnesses, amplifying symptoms like pain, and lowering resistance to infections, etc. But you seem to be describing an untreated depression, which is not justifiable. You are absolutely right to decide not to accept it any longer --- so do arrange to see a good local shrink for assessment and advice. Antidepressant medication, well-chosen should help all-round, and if possible near you, a CBT_oriented counsellor to help you exchange the negative thinking patterns for more positive and useful ones. I disagree with mm's suggestion to ignore effective treatments and rely solely on prayer --- there's every sense in adding prayer to the mix ; but I believe that when God helps someone with depression, it is often through seering them towards using proper medication and therapy.
