Easter
Easter used to be about Jesus, family, fun, holiday etc. This year, however, I've got nothing to do. Hubby works for a restaurant, so there's no such thing as long weekend. My parents are coming tonight and then we'll have a lekka potjie. But after that it's just me and my two kids, no transport and no other family.
We stayed on a lodge for three years and easter use to be big. They would hide easter for the kids and there would be a braai and all our family would come to visit. I mean we had a swimming pool, bar, put-put course and everything in our "backyard". Now that we live in the city with just a garden, we rarely see friends and family. Doesn't that tell you a lot.
I really am a bit dissapointed this year.
Ps. I did hide easter eggs in the house, so at least they had some fun.

Hi SHM,
Well, I suppose there's many of us, these days, who have no such thing as a long weekend --- or I wouldn't be responding here ! And since our accident, I'm familiar with the "no transport" blues, too. Hope the kids enjoy hunting for the Easter Eggs. I got the impression the customs are fading out, and that most shops didn't seem to be selling too many Easter Egg, this year. have a restful weekend, anyway
