Full of himself
He brags non stop that he earns R22000- per month but drives a secondhand ordinary boring looking car and lives in a pretty ordinary home. He wears the same old ugly shoes every day to work, wears clothes that you can see are worn out. Every time I see him he boasts about something as if he has it all. He acts like he has it all under control. The only thing he has is a smooth talking tongue and nothing else. What gives with this man? What underlying psychological reason is there for him to behave like this when anyone can see he isn't rolling in dough?

Shame, what an insecure guy, with such low self-esteem as o be boastful ! As Purple says, what someone earns matters very little, compared to what they choose to do with whatever they earn. Why would you want a friend like him ?
