get over someone
How long does it generally take to get over someone? I want to speed up the process. Some people say that one night stands help. Is this the solution?
One night stands are absolutely never the solution to anything at all. If you ever actually cared about someone else enough to feel sad and to feel the need to "get over" them, then you wouldn't want anything as empty, risky, and pointless, as a one-night stand. Whenever we lose someone or something we value and love, we experience grief, and it's a tough job of work to work through this task, usually taking at least 6 to 9 months, maybe more. The only way to protect yourself from this unpleasant occasional experience, is to never ever love anyone or anything --- and if yop could manage that ( few can ) would life be worth living ?
