How are you? Arm healing nicely, or is this cold weather making it hurt more than necessary? (Pins in my arm too, and it hurts like hell when it's cold...)

yes, just checking the site again. Interesting how the cold weather makes the pins/plates act up. Nobody has ever done any research on this, or how/ why it happens. It seems to make the muscles cramp up raher more, too. But the pain changes. Before the 2nd op, it felt deep in the bone which wasn't healing as fast as we'd hoped ; since the second op, the bone somehow feels stronger ( next X-rays will be next month, to check this ) and the pain seems more in the muscles. I think that represents progress ! Haven't tried whether a hot-water bottle or hot pad would make the arm feel better while watching a DVD or suchlike.
