I can't imagine why the people in your new suberb would behave oddly towards you. They sounds like a really miserable bunch. When they greet you, greet them back, and see if you can take the opportunity to talk with them a little, and introduce yourself and your family. Is there ANYONE who is friendly enough to talk to, and tell them that you find this odd feeling and don't understand it ? Maybe they can help explain if there is something odd going on in the neighbourhood
