Is he cheating?
I have been involved with a guy for 7 months.
I really love him and he tells me often that he loves me. We talk about our future alot. We both have a child from a previous relationship but neither of us have ever been married.

The problem is he has always got girls phoning/sms'ing him, he tells me either they are just psycho or its an old friend and he tells me the story. I believed him (then it was only 2 girls). He switches his phone off at night when we go to bed as he says he saves his battrey this way. (he does use his phone alot). On the weekend i moaned at him about it and said im suspicious of him switching his phone off....he asked me if i wanted him to leave it on...i said YES>
o, now he leaves his phone on at night. Lastnight this one girl was calling and calling and calling, i said who is that? He said oh its and old friend, she is married, she is probebly having issues with her husband again and she wants to chat! Then he gets another message on his cellphone from a number he doesnt know (apparently) saying "Goodnight you".

He is adamant he is not cheating on me....he says he understands how it looks but its not like that.

Am i being stupid? or just untrusting?

I really don't believe that there are hordes of girls so stupid or psycho as to waste their money calling and SMS'ing strangers or acquaintances. And old friends, especially maried friends, know that it is rude and selfish to call anyone, let alone another married person, in the middle of the night to talk about their problems.
Lerita's idea about asking him to invite these friends rount to meet you, is promising.
There is somehing wrong with this picture. If the relationship is worth saving, both of you should get into marriage counselling, asap
