Is there a difference between hiding and lying ?
If you do not tell a person something that you should or just telling part of it when asked about it, so that they no a liitlebit, but not the whole truth and you call it hiding it.Is it just hiding or lying?

As fio says, it is deception, and deliberately misleading, and the result would be just the same as a lie. Though sometimes you convince yourself that it is actually for the benefit of the other person, usually closer scrutiny shows that it's primarily intended to benefit yourself.
Thios is why in court, they don't ask you just to swear to tell the truth, but to tell the Truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth.
