Lliving with depression
Hi There
I would really be appreciative in receiving your advice.
Where I am at in my life:(in a nutshell)
'I suffer from depression, but for a number of years have been able to use it to work for me. Right now I seem to have lost that ability and I'm stuck in a rut and can't seem to get going!
I have great ideas and the time to achieve my goals but I seem to be stuck in a 'lazy' rut!
Please help!!!'

Some of us don't suffer from a Major Depressive Disorder, as one major episode of being depressed, amongst years of feeling ine, but from a disorder called Dysthymia, in which though one might not be as severely depressed as in an MDD, the depression is spread out more broadly, and lasts over years, never getting terribly bad, but never quite relenting. While medication can also help, CBT style counselling ( Cognitive-behaviour Therapy ) can be especially useful, in helping one to revise one's negative habits of thinking and behaving, and to regain initiative and drive and to con trol the feelings of depression.
