Lunch breaks
Dear CS
Wish me luck. I’m going to see HR later today, to ask if it is possible to take extended lunch breaks to go home to bandage my husband's legs, give him something to eat and drink, and make him comfortable until I get home from work. I don’t know how they are going to react to this request, but I can only hope for the best. I’m going to offer to come in on Saturdays to make up for the extra time I take. It is difficult to explain to other people how serious the situation is. As far as I’m concerned I don’t want to ask anyone anything, but I’ve got no choice. I don't know what else to do.

Hello El-Jo, Good to hear from you again. Surely HR ought to be able to hlp in a situation like this ? As I'm finding in my own illness, one of the uses of illness is to each us a bit of humility, not to be too proud to ask for and receive help. And, of course, the endless patience it requires of us.
And don't argue. We have officially declared you to be awesome, a title you richly deserve and have earned very much the hard way
