MAJOR DEPRESSION
FEEL AS THOUGH IM LOSING IT!!!!! CRY ALL THE TIME AND FEEL SO EMPTY AND ALONE. COULD IT BE DUE TO THE THE FACT THAT I STOPPED SMOKING NINE DAYS AGO (AFTER SMOKING FOR MANY YEARS - 30+ PLUS PER DAY). CANNOT THINK WHY ELSE?

Hello Ellie,
What you are describing could indeed be a major depression --- the recent stopping heavy smoking could be complicating this, too. IF so, it is easily treatable, and at least one recently released antidepressant also helps one with the pangs of smoking cessation, too. See a good local psychiatrist, or at least a good GP, for assessment and advice on treatment options.
