Medication
Pls advise.

Have been on Paxil for over a year now. Been struggling with moods changes, problems sleeping, agitation amongst other things.

Now i have been prescribed Fluexotine in addition to the above with an increase in dosage.

What is the point of this, are they not the same?

They're not the same, but members of the same family of drugs with essentially the same way of working, and I can't imagine any good reason for adding one to the other --- it's like adding sugar and swetener to your coffee. Am I guessing right that this is a prescription from a GP and not a specialist psychiatrist ? If so, best ask for referral to a psychiatrist for re-assessment and more expert planning of treatment. If a psychiatrist, ask for an explanation of why this has been suggested. Psychioatrists occasionally might suggest combining two antidepressants, but would then choose two with more significant differences between them
Ah, seeing your second message also sounds like a GP. Fluanxol is more useful for anxiety symptoms than depression. It isn't much used by specialists, but is a more reasonable and sensible combination with an antidepressant than adding together two of exactly the same sort .
