Moody 4 year old
My son of 4 was an angle until his sister was born a year ago. We try not to spend to much time with her and we play games and colour with him. He's got a will of his own, which is fine by me but most of the times his father is not so lenient. If you scold him he just stares at you. He is always making crying noices if he wants something and we said no. Sometimes up to a point where my husband (and sometimes me) want to spank him. Other people always tell me what a lovely well behaved child I have but when my husband and I are around that well behaved child is nowhere to be found.

Dear Fransie,
As Angie says, this is a normal and quite common event, when a kid around this age is confronted with the appalling situation of being expected to share 100 % of the love and attention of its parents, with a new baby --- something which sually seems rather outrageous to the child. It passes, though it's very annoying while it lasts. It can help if one can to some extent recruit Mr 4 year-old, emphasizing that now he's the Big Brother, you're both very poud of him, and as he's so much more clever and experienced than the new guy, you'll need his advice and help at times, to deal with te needs of the helpless litle one.
