Hello susan,
It can be really hard coping with serious illness like schizophrenia in a loved one. Of course it's more upseting to see her when she's not well, but this is something which she needs to discuss with the doctor treating her, to readjust her medications, to gain better control of the symptoms. DON'T start cutting again, as that cannot possibly benefit you ( check the archives of this forum to read many previous discussions of cutting ).
Can't you, via school, with your family's help, arrange to see a counsellor ? Even approach the doctor treating your mom, to ask if he knows of someone who could give you some support and help you to understand what's going on ?
