My niece 2
I wrote to you last week about my niece and her strange behaviour.
I had every intention of speaking to my sister this weekend but when the opportunity arose I did not know how to put it.
How do you tell somebody that there child should see a child shrink. I feel that she knows already and is burying her head in the sand.
My mom mentioned it last week and my sister told me that "mom is on a mission again".
My brother in law sees no wrong in his child, and after the incident at the beach a few years ago he was really not impressed with us for suggestion his daughter see somebody.
It is so easy to say "just come out with it and say it" but when it came down to it this weekend it realy was not easy at all.
How do I go about this?

if you had good reason to believe that the child had an infection, or a surgical problem, you probably wou;dn't hesitate to tell the mom what you had seen, why it bothered you, and suggest that she take the child to see a doctor. Your sister needs to know that burying her head in the sand and trying to ignore this is not an option, and she could eventually get into severe problems with the law and child welfare, for deliberately neglecting the needs of her child.
