Next year - school
Nè is turning 8 in March and she's in a school for Cerebral Palsied children.
I've just had a call from the school she'll remain in the pre-school class next year she will not be going to their Grade 1....
Regardless of her being disabled and and and I'm still a mom and I'd still have liked to see her in her first school dress etc. and THAT TOOO will not happen - agh ! i know she does not know the difference and I should accept that she will never do the things a "normal" child will do or get... But ja... daar huil ek al weer ... 'n pissie ja !
I've done so much and they said she'll never walk or be potty trained all that i've done or forced her to do..... Maybe I must spend more time with occupational therapy, speach, physio... arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hah ! very dissppointing for you. And part of the challenge will be to avoid letting her feel disappointed, o that she has let you down. As blackbird says, you've already achieved so very much ; and maybe with the new glassses to help, she can make further progress at this level, and be better able to be considered for a different class the following year. As you recognize, if pushed further before she is ready, she might more unpleasantly feel she is failing if she can't cope there yet. Now, about the school dress, maybe something can be negotiated ? Maybe even at least a visit to a pony ?
