Nightmares
My son is two and a half, he has nightmares almost evey night of his life. He wakes up screamming and crying for at least two hours every night.

Why is this. Could it be something that he is watching on tv, or someone that is telling of these bad things.

How do i treat him when he wakes up screaming and so very scared, he is so scared that his whole body is jaking. What can i do to make him feel safe and that he does not need to be scared, and also, what do i do , to get him to stop having nightmares, It worries me, a two year old should not be getting nightmares should he. He should have nothing to be afriad of.

Please help me to help my little angle son.

TV or storie can provide some of the colourful details within nightmares, but don't so often cause them. But nightmares are common, at times, during childhood. Whay you're describing could also be Night Terrors, in which a child wakes, screaming in terror, and has NO recollection of any dream content. Usually, both settle down on their own unless there are other factors in his life which nis making him fearful in real life. Then seeing a child psychiatrist ot child psychologist can be useful.
