I think I may have an obsession problem. I recently started getting more and more involved online looking for some friendships and maybe a bit of bedroom fun as I was feeling like I was missing out on something in life.

However, once I meet people online, I think of them all the time and I then make contact as often as I can. Then they think I'm getting obsessed with them and then they start to reject me, which really really hurts. I was reading the archives and what really stuck in my mind was that the one women said that she thinks she is more infatuated with the positive feeling she experiences when chatting to this person more than what she is with him and that is how I feel. I enjoy the fun & positive feeling when chatting online and yet it seems they think I'm obsessed with them and that I'm going to be a problem so they start rejecting me and now I'm confused and hurt.

Sounds like maybe you have a rather obsessive personality (m as some of us do ) ; and maybe some rather unrealistic expectatons from online relationships. Very few people indeed are attracted to someone who seems too needy. Maybe counselling could help you to feel better about yourself, and to be ready for less desperate and more relaxed and enjoyable relationships.
