PANIC ATTACKS OR IS IT?
Doc,
Recently I have been feeling rather strange, when I am behind the wheel of my car, I suddenly get this feeling of intense fear. it lasts maybe two three minutes most.
Sometimes I feel like something is abt to happen. This normally lasts a few minutes.
Yes I have a stressful job. I have now taken the liberty of joining a Health Club, and I have been there now a few days, I must say I feel quite good. I know that these Mental Disorders
do not "go-away" instantly. It will in time.
Other times when I sit at my computer, I feel nervous and edgy. Is this part of the Panic Attacks?
I have found that enjoying a Healthy Lifestyle inc..Gyming a good diet has tremendously lifted my spirits, as I have experienced bouts of anxiety.
Doc, this is a great forum and I must admit that we all experience problems in out lives and Somehow there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I guess we just need to find that path that leads us to it.
Regards

Dear PM,
Pleased to hear we can shed some light in some of those tunnels ! This sounds like it could be a more generalized Anxiety disorder, which can include some episodes of a panicky increase in the general levels of anxiety. You sound like you're handling it well with exercise and diet, etc, which is an excellent idea. It may be worth seeing a psychologist to clarify whether there are any specific triggers for the anxiety which one can learn to desensitize, as well as learning some natural methods for inducing self-relaxation when needed.
