Porn addiction
My husband of two years is completely addicted to porn sites on the internet. He spends al least 2 hours every day. I did tell him that it makes me uncomfortable, which ends up in a huge fight and me feeling very guilty for having a problem with this. His answer to this is that it is a man thing and somehow any man must get his portion of porn regularly. He is addement that he will not stop doing this, if it is such a big problem for me he will just start doing it behind my back. We have a very open minded relationship, so why is this bothering me so badly and do I actually have anything to worry about, I need to understand this, it is drving me crazy!

Do check the archives of this forum, as we have discussed this particular topic so often that I feel challenged to find anythign more to say about it. Men and women do often have different attitudes towards porn, but it's nonsense for him to insist that every man needs an regular intake of porn --- it is not one of the major food groups, along with carbohydrates and protein ! But I do think many women interpret such interests unhelpfully, seeing the porn images as rivals. Many women have profound literary interests very similar to porn, but are instead devoted to "love" romances and soapies --- and yet they don't see this as being unfaithful to their husband, though there are very relevant similarities.
it does sound if he is stuck on 2 hours per day, as if he is making up for something he is lacking, and would benefit from seeing a counsellor, though he'd never appreciate your suggesting that. Maybe, if he sees it as a way to deal with your problems rather than his, he might be talked into marriage counselling, where these issues could be valuably afressed
